Another KMC councillor, Biswajit Mondal arrested, after woman alleges molestation and threats
Election campaigning intensified in Hooghly’s Chinsurah area as Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Subir Nag visited a local market on Sunday and interacted with traders and residents. The candidate walked through the busy marketplace where vendors were selling vegetables and a variety of fish including shrimp, pabda and katla, engaging in conversations with shopkeepers and buyers about their daily concerns.
During the visit, Nag spoke with traders and customers to understand the challenges they face in their businesses and everyday lives. The market campaign drew attention from local residents as party workers and supporters accompanied the candidate while he moved from stall to stall listening to feedback from the public. Speaking about the visit, Subir Nag said he has been coming to the same market for the past 40 years to buy groceries for his household. He mentioned that since it was Sunday, he combined his regular market visit with a public relations campaign along with party workers and supporters.
While interacting with people, the BJP candidate also remarked that if his party comes to power, Bengalis will be able to eat more fish and meat, referring to improved economic conditions and purchasing power. The campaign created a lively atmosphere in the market area as traders and residents shared their opinions and concerns directly with the candidate.
