Rain washes RCB vs KKR match; Defending champions knocked out of playoff race
India has confirmed that the ceasefire with Pakistan, agreed upon recently, remains in effect. However, Indian military officials emphasized that the country’s armed forces are fully prepared to protect national sovereignty and respond to any potential threats. Air Commodore Raghu Nair highlighted that while the ceasefire is in place, India’s military remains on high alert. "We are fully operationally ready to defend the nation at any moment," Nair stated during a briefing.
Colonel Sofiya Qureshi addressed the ongoing misinformation from Pakistan regarding the destruction of religious sites during India’s military operations. She clarified that India, being a secular nation, has not targeted any religious sites, specifically mosques, as claimed by Pakistani sources. She further emphasized that India’s operations focused solely on dismantling terror camps and infrastructure used by militants.
Colonel Qureshi also confirmed that Indian forces have significantly weakened Pakistan's offensive and defensive capabilities. "India destroyed Pakistan's offensive and defensive capabilities, including terror camps," she stated, providing a clear message about the military’s strategic objectives in the region. This action was part of India’s broader strategy to neutralize terror threats and secure its borders.
Despite the ceasefire agreement, Indian officials made it clear that the armed forces remain prepared for any escalation. While India continues to advocate for peace, the military's readiness signals the country’s determination to protect its territorial integrity. The situation along the border remains closely monitored as both countries continue diplomatic engagements.
