The night sky over Jalpaiguri turned into a scene from a science fiction movie on Thursday evening, as a mysterious streak of bright lights triggered widespread panic and curiosity. Residents across Dhupguri, Maynaguri, Rajganj, and the Sadar blocks reported seeing a "garland of lights" piercing through the darkness around 7:00 PM. The phenomenon was so vivid that photos and videos of the glowing trail quickly went viral on social media, sparking intense debate among netizens.

Local witnesses shared chilling accounts of the event, with some claiming they felt a slight tremor or vibration as the lights passed overhead.
