"Kolkata to get Water Metro connectivity," says Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari
Amid ongoing political debates around population trends, Seema Haider has stirred fresh discussion with her remarks advocating larger families among Hindus. Speaking during an interview, she said that every Hindu family should have at least two to three children, claiming that smaller family sizes could impact population balance.
Haider stated that many people in the country are opting for one or two children, which, according to her, is leading to a decline in the Hindu population. She contrasted this with what she described as higher birth rates among “others,” suggesting that the gap could widen over time. Referring to her own family, she said, “We have given six Sanatani children,” and encouraged others to consider having larger families.
Her statement comes in the backdrop of similar remarks made earlier by Mohan Bhagwat, who had advocated for families to have three children at various public events. The issue of population and family size has remained a recurring theme in political and social discussions, particularly during election periods.
Seema Haider, who moved to India from Pakistan via Nepal and currently resides in Greater Noida with her husband Sachin Meena, has been in the public spotlight for her personal story. She recently gave birth to her sixth child, further drawing attention to her statements and sparking conversations across social and political circles.
