Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a powerful address at Punjab’s Adampur Air Base on Monday, praising the armed forces for their precise execution of Operation Sindoor and declaring a firm shift in India’s approach to cross-border terrorism. Speaking just days after India and Pakistan agreed to halt further military operations, the Prime Minister made it clear that the rules of engagement have changed.
Lauding the armed forces for destroying nine major terror hubs and eliminating over 100 terrorists, Modi said, “If terrorists even dare to look at India, they will be finished.” He called Operation Sindoor a reflection of India’s clear policy, strategic intent, and military capabilities.
The Prime Minister further stated that “blood and water cannot flow together,” underlining that peace with Pakistan cannot coexist with terrorism. In a strong message to Islamabad and global observers, he said there is only one response to attacks on innocent civilians — total destruction of terror bases and their infrastructure.
Modi invoked India’s dual heritage of peace and strength, referring to spiritual icons like Gautam Buddha and warrior saints like Guru Gobind Singh. “Our enemies forgot that this is the land of both. The godfathers of terrorism have realised what it means to challenge India,” he said.
Addressing the soldiers, the Prime Minister expressed deep gratitude and admiration. “You have made every Indian proud. Your precision, courage, and patriotism will be remembered for generations. You are the heroes of this historic chapter,” he said. With flight operations gradually resuming post-conflict, Modi’s speech marks a symbolic closure to a tense chapter and signals India’s intent going forward.
