‘India trusted because of our massive talent pool’: PM Modi inaugurates Semicon 2023

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the second edition of Semicon India on Friday, with the three-day event being held in Gandhinagar, the capital of his home state of Gujarat.

In its debut edition, the event was held in Bengaluru from 29 April to 1 May 2022.

The semiconductor industry trusts India because of its "huge talent pool", PM Modi said at the event, adding that 21st century India offers opportunities for everyone.

He also emphasized that today the country is on the path of development because of national aspirations; the growing neo-middle class has become the driving force behind national aspirations, the prime minister noted.

"There has been exponential growth in India's digital sector and electronics manufacturing... a few years ago we were a growing player in the sector and today our share of global electronics manufacturing has increased manifold," Modi noted.
