Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a powerful address to the nation on Monday evening, praised the Indian Armed Forces for their role in Operation Sindoor, India’s cross-border strikes on terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied-Kashmir. His speech came amid renewed tensions and ceasefire violations following the deadly terror attack in Pahalgam last month that claimed over two dozen lives.
Describing Operation Sindoor as “not just a name but a pledge for justice,” PM Modi said the action was India’s response to terrorists who “wiped the sindoor off our sisters” by killing innocent civilians. “We gave our forces a free hand to decimate the terrorists. Today, every camp knows the cost of touching India's daughters,” he said.
PM Modi also made it clear that India would not be deterred by nuclear threats. “India won't tolerate any nuclear blackmail. Our security forces are on high alert and fully capable of responding decisively,” he said. He warned that future Indian actions will depend on Pakistan's behavior in the days to come.
Lauding the coordinated efforts behind Operation Sindoor, the Prime Minister saluted the armed forces, intelligence agencies, and scientists. “We not only destroyed the terrorist infrastructure, we broke their morale,” he added. “Every group now knows what happens when India unites for its daughters.”
Concluding his speech, Modi dedicated the bravery shown in the operation to the women of India—mothers, sisters, and daughters—who continue to inspire national resolve. The statement, packed with emotion and nationalism, underlined the government's tough stance on cross-border terrorism and reaffirmed public support for the armed response.
