PM will offer Anjali to Maa Durga this Ashtami in Kolkata, receives multiple invitations
IndiGo Airlines has issued a travel advisory for passengers, warning of potential delays and disruptions to its flight schedules at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport due to ongoing heavy rainfall. The airline has urged travelers to account for additional journey time, noting that traffic conditions across the city are significantly slower than usual. "We’re monitoring the situation closely and will get you airborne as soon as possible. Your comfort and safety remain our top priority," IndiGo announced via its official social media channel.
The advisory comes as Mumbai and its surrounding districts have been experiencing intermittent to moderate rainfall since Monday morning, following a prolonged dry spell. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has consequently upgraded its forecast to a yellow alert for the region, with further nowcast warnings citing the possibility of moderate rain accompanied by gusty winds. By midday, the IMD's daily bulletin also warned of "heavy rainfall in isolated pockets" across Mumbai, Thane, and Palghar.
While the downpour has brought much-needed relief from the heat, it has also led to minor traffic disruptions and waterlogging in several low-lying areas. Authorities have advised commuters to plan their travel accordingly and urged citizens to stay updated with official weather advisories, checking their flight status through airline apps or websites before heading to the airport to avoid inconvenience.
