The brutal terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, has left the nation grieving and furious, with sharp reactions pouring in from every corner. Among them, poet and former AAP leader Kumar Vishvas voiced an intense call for action, condemning the incident in the strongest terms.
Sharing a powerful clip from an earlier poetry recitation, Kumar Vishvas reiterated his long-standing warning against leniency towards terrorism. In his post, he wrote, "Ek dashak pahle kaha tha, phir dohra raha hoon. Aaj samajho ya kal, upchaar bas yahi hai," emphasizing that only strong action can treat this menace.
The poetry clip, now going viral, has stirred emotions across social media. It says: "Desh banayen ya phir apne beton ki lashen dhoyen? Isi kashmakash mein har jeeti baazi haari jaati hai. Ek baat ye Dilli waale aakhir kis din samjhenge? Kuttar pagal ho jaye toh goli maari jaati hai..!" The translation: "Build the nation, or carry the corpses of your sons? Every sure victory is lost in this dilemma. When will those in Delhi finally understand this? When a dog goes mad, it’s shot."
The deadly attack, reportedly carried out by Pakistan-backed terrorists, claimed the lives of at least 28 innocent civilians, many of them tourists, and left several others injured. The massacre has triggered widespread outrage, with demands for immediate and strong military retaliation.
Meanwhile, political leaders have begun holding the government accountable. Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut demanded the resignation of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, alleging failure in ensuring national security and calling for him to "do the country a favor" by stepping down.
The grief, anger, and frustration among citizens are palpable, with increasing pressure on the government to act decisively against the perpetrators and their sponsors to ensure such tragedies do not repeat.
