Muzaffarpur hospital blaze kills 3 patients, leaves 20 injured
Punjabi singer Karan Aujla won widespread praise after paying off pending fines worth ₹22,000 for two auto-rickshaw drivers in Mumbai ahead of his P-Pop Culture concert. The singer, who is currently touring India, was travelling in an auto when the vehicle was stopped by police due to outstanding fines amounting to ₹17,000. He immediately instructed his team to clear the dues.
Shortly after, another auto driver approached Aujla requesting help with his pending fine of ₹5,000. The singer agreed and asked his team to settle that amount as well, bringing the total to ₹22,000. Upon realising who had helped him, the driver hugged Aujla in gratitude.
In a video shared online, Aujla was heard saying, “We got pulled over because the auto driver had some pending fines and we told the policeman that we’d pay his fines. I love doing this.” He also advised the drivers to avoid accumulating further penalties, adding, “Koi aur pay nahi karega. Suddenly I am the city’s favourite.”
Fans flooded social media with praise for the gesture. Comments described him as a “man with a golden heart” and applauded what many called a “real flex.” Several users said such acts of kindness were the reason they admired the singer.
Aujla began the India leg of his P-Pop Culture Tour in Delhi on February 28 with a packed show attended by over 70,000 fans. He is set to perform in Mumbai next, followed by shows in Pune, Chandigarh, Indore and Bengaluru as part of the multi-city tour.
