Former Minister Jyotipriya Mallick resigns from all TMC posts citing health reasons
The political battle in West Bengal intensified on Saturday as the Trinamool Congress launched a sharp counterattack against Union Home Minister Amit Shah, unveiling a 15-page ‘People’s Court’ chargesheet shortly after his allegations against the ruling party. Presented at the party headquarters in Kolkata by Bratya Basu and Mahua Moitra, the document titled “Mota Bhai, Jawab Chaee” sought to directly challenge and rebut each claim made by the BJP in its earlier chargesheet targeting the All India Trinamool Congress government.
Responding to the accusations, Basu alleged that the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process was a calculated political move by the BJP to weaken the Trinamool Congress. He asserted that the party was prepared with detailed responses to every allegation raised, stating that attempts to politically undermine the ruling party would be resisted. The development reflects escalating campaign rhetoric in the state, with both sides intensifying attacks as the electoral contest approaches.
