The BJP also started attacking Kharge's statement. The party's IT chief Amit Malviya shared a video of Kharge's statement and the Congress's disappointment is visible. Amit Malviya wrote, “Congress president Kharge now says that PM Modi is a poisonous snake. Congress keeps declining. This weakness of the Congress suggests that it is losing ground in Karnataka.

Union Minister Anurag Thakur also challenged Kharge's statement. He also said that Mallikarjun Kharge has been appointed as Congress president but no one is listening to him.
