Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday expressed strong support for Operation Sindoor, calling it “Bharat’s response” to the Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 civilian lives. Lauding the Indian armed forces for executing precise strikes on nine terror installations in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), Shah said the country remains unwavering in its fight against terrorism.
In a statement posted on X, Shah wrote, “Proud of our armed forces. Operation Sindoor is Bharat’s response to the brutal killing of our innocent brothers in Pahalgam.”
He emphasized that the Modi government will deliver a decisive and fitting response to any aggression against the nation, underlining that India is determined to eliminate terrorism at its root.
The strikes, which targeted terror groups like Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba, come at a time when tensions remain high along the Line of Control, and security has been intensified across major cities.
