Police on Thursday escorted Pushpa alias Jahangir Khan through parts of Falta under heavy security, days after his arrest near the Nepal border. During the operation, Jahangir Khan was accompanied by police personnel and security force members as he was taken through the locality. Authorities conducted the exercise amid ongoing investigations into multiple cases registered against him in the area.
According to local accounts, Jahangir Khan had gone underground after allegedly losing influence in Falta following the elections. Several cases have reportedly been registered against him, including allegations of extortion, assault, land grabbing and atrocities against women. Police arrested him near the Nepal border earlier this week and brought him back to the district for further legal proceedings and investigation.
