Rajkummar Rao and Alaya F will next be seen in their upcoming film Sri. The film is directed by Tushar Hiranandani and also stars Jyotika and Sharad Kelkar. It will be based on the moving story of Indian visionary Srikanth Bolla, the founder of Bollant Industries.
The makers posted an announcement video on their social media and wrote, “Bringing to you the inspiring story of SRI, based on the biopic of the idealist Srikanth Bolla who didn't let his challenges stop him from achieving his vision! Premiere in theaters September 15, 2023!”
Rajkummar shared the same video on his Instagram and his wife-actor Patralekha took to the comments section and wrote, “Yay…can't wait (fire sign emoji). Another user wrote: “Can't wait.” One fan wrote, “That voice, Mr. Rajkummar Rao gave me goosebumps (shocked face with exploding head emoji). We fans really love the choice, script, and title of the movie. He always makes films that are like out of the box. All the best to the whole team. We fans are looking forward (sic) to this movie,” the user added.
Written by Jagdeep Sidhu and Sumit Purohit and photographed by Pratham Mehta, SRI is a biopic on industrialist Srikanth Bolla, who did not let his visual impairment stand in his way and founded Bollant Industries.
Gulshan Kumar and T-Series represent T-Series Films and Chalk N Cheese Films Production LLP. Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar and Nidhi Parmar Hiranandani, the film will release on September 15.
On Thursday, the actor hinted at another upcoming project based on Parition and co-starrer Bhumi Pednekar. Both shared black and white pictures on their respective channels to make the announcement. The name for the same is not yet known.
