Trinamool Congress (TMC) Member of Parliament and youth wing chief Saayoni Ghosh on Wednesday issued a fiery public statement categorically denying viral social media allegations that she jointly owns a prime real estate asset with party General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee. The controversy erupted after several unverified digital forwards and screenshots began circulating across messaging platforms, claiming that both leaders share ownership of a residential property located at 19 D Seven Tanks Road in Kolkata (700030) with no mobile number registered as a contact point. Ghosh swiftly dismissed the online rumors as an orchestrated attempt to malign her reputation, with no shred of physical evidence.

Expressing her outrage over the targeted smear campaign, the actor-turned-politician emphasized her financially transparent career path, separating her identity from the individuals named in the viral forwards. Ghosh asserted that she entered public life from a humble socio-economic background and has never registered any windfall profits or unaccounted financial gains from her political career to date. She expressed gratitude toward her voters and the public for their continued blessings, reminding detractors that all her legitimate assets, bank balances, and liabilities are fully disclosed within her official election affidavit, which remains accessible in the public domain for verification.

The Jadavpur MP issued a stern, zero-tolerance warning to the individuals and political networks responsible for amplifying the unverified claims across digital media channels. Vowing to fight back aggressively against the defamation matrix, Ghosh wrote, "Please know, I won’t budge an inch, I won’t let it pass. Legal action will be taken for spreading fake news. This ‘Ghosh’ won’t be bullied." Invoking the cultural heritage of Bengal to reinforce her fearless stance, she signed off her statement with a poignant quote from Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore's iconic poem, stating that she belongs to the land of Kobiguru, where the mind is without fear and the head is held high.
