Political tensions escalated in the Legislative Assembly on Saturday as alleged irregularities involving the Sebaashray health camps triggered a heated debate. During his address in the House, Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari launched a sharp attack on Diamond Harbour MP Abhishek Banerjee, describing the alleged irregularities as not merely negligence but "a grave crime akin to murder." He said anyone found responsible for endangering the lives and health of the public under the guise of organising health camps would face strict legal action.
The Chief Minister stated that no individual found guilty of compromising public health through such activities would be spared under any circumstances and asserted that those responsible would not be able to evade the law. He made the remarks while addressing the Assembly during the discussion on the alleged Sevashray health camp irregularities.
