Tej Pratap Yadav, the eldest son of RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav, has come under fire after a video surfaced showing him ordering an on-duty police officer to dance during a Holi celebration at his residence in Patna on March 14. The video, which has since gone viral, shows Yadav telling the officer, "Ay sipahi, ek gaana bajayenge uspe tumko thumka lagana hai. Bura na mano, Holi hai. Thumka lagao nahi toh suspend kar diye jaaoge" (We will play a song, and you must dance. Don't mind, it's Holi. Dance, or you will be suspended).

As the Holi festivities unfolded, Tej Pratap began singing a song, prompting the officer to raise his hands and sway along, seemingly complying with the demand. The scene took place amidst party workers and others present, as Tej Pratap directed the event. He also participated in the "kurta faad" ritual, where attendees tear each other's clothes after applying color during the celebrations.

The incident has sparked widespread condemnation from various political circles. BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla criticized the behavior, comparing it to the alleged lawlessness of the past, saying, "Like father, like son. First, the father – as the then CM used to make law dance to his tunes and turn Bihar into a jungle raj. Now, the son, despite being out of power, attempts to make laws and protectors of law dance to his tunes through threats and pressure."

JDU spokesperson Rajiv Ranjan also reacted to the event, remarking, “Jungleraaj has ended but Yuvraj of Lalu Yadav is threatening a policeman about the consequences if he does not comply with what he is instructing (to dance). Bihar has now changed.” He further stressed that such behavior should not be part of the current political environment in Bihar, highlighting the ongoing transformation in the state.

The video not only shows Tej Pratap ordering the cop to dance but also other individuals present who appeared to be showing respect by touching his feet. The incident has drawn attention as Bihar approaches its Assembly elections later this year, with opposition parties accusing the RJD of promoting behavior reminiscent of the controversial "Jungle Raj" era under Lalu Prasad Yadav's leadership.
