More than 25 schools across Ahmedabad and Vadodara were evacuated on Monday after receiving bomb threat emails containing a message about “turning India into Khalistan”. Authorities immediately launched search operations and deployed security teams to the affected campuses.
Officials said school administrations alerted police soon after receiving the emails. Students and staff were safely moved out as precautionary checks began. No explosives were found during initial inspections, but security agencies continued thorough sweeps.
Investigators are also examining similarities with recent threat emails sent to schools in Delhi earlier this week and a similar incident reported in Ahmedabad ahead of Republic Day. The source of the emails is being traced while cyber teams analyse digital evidence.
