‘Uncle tried to smother me with a pillow, I pretended to be dead’: Sole child survivor in Tangra triple murder

A shocking statement has emerged from Prasun Dey’s son in the Tangra case. The sleeping pills mixed into his soup had no effect on him. "Uncle tried to smother me with a pillow." "I held my breath and pretended to be dead." According to sources, the minor made this sensational claim before representatives of the Child Protection Commission in connection with the Tangra case. With this revelation, the mystery surrounding the Dey family of Tangra has deepened even further. From the beginning, the police struggled to determine whether it was a case of suicide or murder.

However, once the post-mortem report was released, the situation took a drastic turn. Now, the minor's statement has added a new twist to the case. The minor claims that he was also given kheer (sweet rice pudding) just like his sister. However, due to his regular yoga practice and gym workouts, the sleeping pills mixed into the paste did not affect him. "My uncle tried to strangle me with a pillow," the minor stated. "I held my breath for a long time. I pretended to be dead and stopped breathingThen, uncle and father went up to the terrace to die by suicide."

But the story does not end there. The teenager also described the events of that fateful day. In his words, "I went to the second floor and saw my mother, aunt, and sister lying dead. They had also been murdered." As the investigation into the Tangra case progresses, new information continues to emerge. It has repeatedly come to light that a massive debt of crores of rupees ultimately pushed the Dey family to make an extreme decision. This time, the minor’s statement has further confirmed that theory.

The minor said, "Two days before the incident, my father said that this time, the creditors would come after him. My parents said that there was no way out except death." He claimed that a family meeting was held before the incident. However, he was not allowed to stay in the room. In his words, "Father and uncle’s business had collapsed. During that discussion, I was asked to leave the room. If I had been in the room that day, I could have suggested other ways to earn money."

Meanwhile, sources reveal that the Child Protection Commission does not want to send the minor to a juvenile home. Instead, they prefer placing him with a relative. It has been learned that the commission wants to keep the minor with Prasun’s in-laws. In that case, under a government scheme, the minor’s maternal grandparents would receive a monthly allowance until he becomes an adult. However, if they are unwilling to take responsibility, the commission is considering other options. According to sources, another family has already agreed to take custody of the teenager. Therefore, for now, the commission officials are keeping all options open.
