Yogi Adityanath on Sunday launched a sharp attack on the Trinamool Congress while addressing a public rally in Bankura, alleging that “vote traders want to change the demography of Bengal.” He said the state has suffered under successive governments and called for political change ahead of elections.
Addressing the gathering, Adityanath said West Bengal, once associated with figures like Swami Vivekananda, has been pushed into poverty first by Congress, then the Left, and now by the TMC over the past fifteen years. He also alleged that law and order has deteriorated in the state, claiming an atmosphere of “anarchy and hooliganism.”
The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister drew comparisons with his own state, stating that riots and criminal activities had significantly reduced under BJP rule. He claimed that strict action against mafia elements had ensured safety for citizens in Uttar Pradesh. Adityanath further accused the state leadership of remaining silent on issues due to vote-bank considerations and urged voters not to allow Congress, the Left, and the TMC to “play with the future of coming generations.” He called on people to work together to restore Bengal to its “former glory.”
