"Won't bow to any malevolent forces", says Mamata on Trinamool's foundation day

On the occasion of the 28th Foundation Day of the All India Trinamool Congress (TMC), West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee sent out a strong and defiant message to her party workers and the opposition. In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday, she reiterated that her party will not be intimidated by any threats or "malevolent forces." Reflecting on the party's journey that began on January 1, 1998, she emphasized that the core mission has always been the service of "Ma-Mati-Manush" and the protection of democratic rights in Bengal.

The Chief Minister became emotional while recalling the early days of the party’s struggle, describing it as a historic journey dedicated to the development of Bengal and the honor of the motherland. She expressed deep gratitude toward the grassroots workers, whose tireless efforts and sacrifices have transformed the TMC into a powerful democratic force. Banerjee noted that the unwavering support of the people remains the party's greatest strength as they continue to fight for the rights of every citizen in a large democratic nation like India.

Directly addressing the current political climate, Banerjee vowed to continue her lifelong struggle for the common people despite any "evil eyes" or pressure tactics from opponents. Her message comes at a crucial time as the state prepares for the 2026 Assembly elections, signaling that the party is ready for a high-stakes political battle. She asserted that the TMC family would remain steadfast and committed to its goals, refusing to surrender to any form of intimidation or harassment.
