Muzaffarpur hospital blaze kills 3 patients, leaves 20 injured
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi criticised the Union Budget 2026, saying it failed to address the core issues faced by the country’s youth and farming community.
Rahul Gandhi stated that despite repeated assurances, the budget did not present a credible roadmap for job creation. He said young Indians continue to remain without employment opportunities, and the budget announcements did not inspire confidence that the situation would improve in the near future. Highlighting the condition of farmers, the Congress leader said agrarian distress remains unresolved. According to him, the budget overlooked the hardships faced by farmers, including rising input costs and uncertainty over income, adding that policy announcements failed to provide concrete solutions.
The Congress has maintained that the budget prioritised select sectors while ignoring broader social and economic concerns. Rahul Gandhi reiterated that without addressing unemployment and farmer welfare, economic growth would remain uneven and exclusionary.
