The SIT constituted by Saran SP to investigate the Mubarakpur murder case in Manjhi Police Station area (Case No. 38/23) on Sunday arrested another named accused Ajay Yadav, s/o late Mathur Yadav of Bhagar diara in Siwan.
Ajay is the brother of main accused Vijay Yadav, who is still absconding. Jatul Yadav and Vyas Yadav were arrested earlier in a case related to the lynching of two youths by followers of Vijay, husband of Mubarakpur panchayat mukhiya Arti Devi on February 2.
ADG (law and order) Sanjay Singh visited Mubarakpur on Saturday and directed the police to file a charge sheet against the accused to speed up the trial in the case. He also directed the police to file a case under Section 174(A) of the Enforcement Act against those accused who did not surrender despite the seizure of their property and a notice issued under Section 82 of the Penal Code.
Manjhi police registered a case (45/23) against such accused.
