In a chilling case that has shocked Mumbai, the Kurar Police have arrested a 45-year-old habitual offender, Mahesh Ramesh Pawar, for systematically drugging and sexually assaulting minor girls. The accused allegedly lured victims by offering them soft drinks laced with sedative pills. Investigations have revealed that Pawar targeted approximately 8 to 10 minor girls, recording obscene videos of his crimes to use as leverage for further exploitation.
The predator’s horrific cycle of abuse involved not just the physical assault but also a calculated campaign of blackmail. Once the victims regained consciousness, he would threaten to make the recorded videos viral on social media, forcing them into silence and repeated trauma. This pattern of serial offending continued until a complaint was finally registered, prompting immediate police intervention.
The Kurar Police, acting under the guidance of Senior Police Inspector Sanjay Tawde, displayed remarkable efficiency by tracking and arresting the accused from Virar within just six hours of the case being reported. A specialized detection team led the operation, ensuring that Pawar was taken into custody before he could flee or harm more victims. The swift action has been hailed as a significant step in securing justice for the traumatized minors.
