In the presence of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and BJP State President Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary, 10 NDA Legislative Council candidates filed their nominations for the Legislative Council elections at UP Vidhan Bhawan on Monday.
Among those who filed nominations on behalf of NDA, seven candidates of BJP and one candidate each of its allies Apna Dal (S), RLD and SubhaSP filed nominations. On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad, Brajesh Pathak, Finance Minister Suresh Khanna, Cooperative Minister JPS Rathore and State General Secretary Govind Narayan Shukla and others were prominently present.
Among the BJP candidates, apart from former ministers Dr. Mahendra Singh, Ashok Kataria, Vijay Bahadur Pathak, BJP state vice president Mohit Beniwal, Santosh Singh, Ram Tirath Singhal and Dharmendra Singh filed their nominations. Apna Dal (S) working president and Technical Education Minister Ashish Patel, RLD candidate Yogesh Chaudhary and Subhaspa's Achhe Lal Rajbhar filed their nominations.
Before this, candidates of BJP and its allies reached the state BJP office. State President Dr. Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary and Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak greeted the MLC candidates at the BJP office. After this, the candidates reached Vidhan Bhavan for nomination from the BJP office. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya have congratulated all the NDA candidates who have filed nominations for the Legislative Council elections.
