A tragic incident occurred in the Kumorpara area of Chandannagar, where 12-year-old Sayan Pal, a class 8 student, drowned in a pond on Monday afternoon. Sayan had been playing with three of his friends when they decided to bathe in the pond near Lalbagan. While in the water, Sayan suddenly went under, and his friends quickly realized something was wrong.
They immediately alerted local residents, who rushed to the pond to help. The locals managed to pull Sayan from the water and rushed him to a nearby hospital. Despite efforts to save him, doctors at the hospital declared him dead. Local authorities have launched an investigation into the incident, and the community is in shock following the tragedy.
