16 students faint in Bihar school amid heat wave, relatives protest

Amidst a severe heat wave in Bihar, 16 students from Madhya Vidyalaya Mankaul in Sheikhpura district fainted due to the intense heat. The unconscious students were transported to Sadar Hospital Sheikhpura and a private hospital using bikes and totos, as no ambulance was provided. This incident occurred in the Ariyari police station area, sparking outrage among the relatives and villagers who protested against the school's operation and blocked the Sheikhpura-Sasbahna road.

The villagers expressed their anger over the lack of ambulance service and raised slogans against Under Secretary KK Pathak and the state government. Despite repeated attempts, calls to the DEO and KK Pathak went unanswered. Parents of the affected students have decided to boycott the school, citing inadequate facilities and the harmful conditions under which their children are forced to attend school. They demand immediate intervention from the Education Department to ensure student safety during the ongoing heat wave.
