On Tuesday morning, a tragic road accident occurred near the sugar mill of Baharampur police station, injuring 16 school students. The students were travelling on a bus from various areas of Baharampur to Sargachi Ramakrishna Mission when a lorry collided with their vehicle.
As a result of the accident, all 16 students sustained serious injuries and were rushed to the Murshidabad Medical College Hospital in Baharampur for treatment. Currently, they are undergoing medical care, with two of the students being reported to be in critical condition.
The accident has caused concern among the community, with many questioning the safety measures on the road and calling for authorities to take appropriate action to prevent such incidents in the future.
The families of the injured students are also calling for a thorough investigation into the cause of the accident and for those responsible to be held accountable.
