19-year-old woman found dead in New Digha hotel room

On January 1, the body of 19-year-old Preeti Kaur was found in a hotel room in New Digha. Preeti, a resident of North Narayanpur, Asansol, had traveled to Digha with her husband on December 30. The couple had checked into a hotel in New Digha, and according to hotel staff, they were seen together on the night of December 31. The hotel staff reported that the couple left the hotel at some point during the evening and returned later that night.

The next morning, on January 1, hotel staff discovered Preeti’s body hanging in the room. The staff immediately contacted the police, who arrived on the scene to investigate. The body was taken to Digha State General Hospital, where doctors declared her dead. Subsequently, the body was sent to Kanthi Subdivisional Hospital for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.

Digha police have initiated an investigation into the incident. They are questioning Preeti’s husband and hotel staff as part of their inquiry. Police have also been gathering statements and reviewing evidence from the scene. Authorities have confirmed that the body has been sent for an autopsy, and they are working to establish the sequence of events that led to the tragic discovery. The investigation is ongoing, and all angles are being explored to determine the cause of death.
