PM will offer Anjali to Maa Durga this Ashtami in Kolkata, receives multiple invitations
A patient from Keshtupur, North 24 Parganas, was admitted to Bidhannagar Sub-Division General Hospital on February 20 for medical treatment requiring two external tests. During the process, a nurse contacted the patient’s family and connected them with a middleman, Bapan Mandal, who provided a fabricated blood report supposedly from a diagnostic center in Beliaghata. Based on the report, treatment was initiated.
Doubts about the authenticity of the report arose later when the diagnostic center was contacted directly. The center denied generating any such report for the patient, exposing the forgery and raising concerns over hospital procedures and verification processes.
Following the revelation, a formal complaint has been lodged at Bidhannagar North Police Station against Bapan Mandal and the diagnostic center involved. Authorities are investigating the case to determine responsibility and ensure accountability.
