BJP gherao 'New TMC' MLA Sandipan Saha's house in Entally, protest over 'cut money'
Two Bangladeshi nationals in West Bengal’s Sundarbans region have fled after being exposed for staying in India using fake identification documents. Both cases were discovered during local verification of voter registrations and property ownership records.
The first case is from Bermazur, Sandeshkhali, where Jalil Molla, a Bangladeshi citizen, married a local woman. He obtained a voter ID by listing a relative as his father. Using this voter ID, he purchased land and built a house. After the case was exposed, Molla left the property and disappeared.
The second case occurred in Hingalganj, where Bellal Gazi, another Bangladeshi resident, used forged documents to obtain fake voter and Aadhaar cards. Following the discovery, he also fled his residence. Local Panchayat head Paritosh Biswas stated that authorities will be informed about both cases and the process to remove fraudulent entries from the voter list will begin.
