Two cousins were killed in a suspected hit-and-run incident in New Delhi while returning from an IPL match. The accident took place around 10:30 pm on Ashok Road, where the victims, identified as Yagya and Abhav, were travelling on a motorcycle.
According to initial findings, an unidentified vehicle allegedly rammed into their bike, throwing both riders off due to the impact. They were rushed to a nearby hospital but were declared dead on arrival by doctors.
Moments before the crash, Abhav had informed his father over a phone call that they would reach home within 30 minutes. The sudden incident has left the family in shock.
Police have launched an investigation and are scanning CCTV footage from the area to identify the vehicle involved. Officials said the case appears to be a hit-and-run based on preliminary evidence.
