2 schhol girls dead, 4 injured in Samastipur road accident; Driver held

A speeding mini truck tragically struck six schoolgirls on NH 28 under Musrigharari police station in Samastipur on Saturday morning. The girls were on their way to Utkramit Madhya Vidyalay Nauka School when the truck lost control, killing two girls on the spot and seriously injuring three others. One girl survived by jumping into a nearby water-filled pit, and her bravery is being widely discussed.

The truck overturned after the incident, and local residents quickly apprehended the driver as he attempted to flee. The injured girls were rushed to a private hospital, and the police arrived to manage the situation. The accident caused a traffic jam on NH 28, with police from nearby stations working to restore order.

Protests have erupted in the area, with the CPI (ML) demanding better medical care for the injured and compensation for the families of the deceased.
