Muzaffarpur hospital blaze kills 3 patients, leaves 20 injured
A group of friends' outing turned into heartbreak at Mukutmanipur in Bankura district when a 21-year-old college student Manojit Mahato lost his life while doing bike stunts for photo and video shoot. The Raipur Polytechnic student from Shyamsundarpur village under Bankura's Barikul thana had come to his maternal uncle’s house and went for an outing with his friends, some of them YouTubers, near the Kangsabati dam. His friends were recording the bike stunt on their cameras.
While performing, Manojit suddenly lost control and slammed into an electric pole and died. His friends along with locals rushed him to Khatra Mahakuma Hospital and doctors declared him brought dead. Police from Gorabari Phari reached the spot, seized the blke and sent Manojit's bloodstained body to Bankura Sammilani Medical College for post-mortem. Later, Bankura's Khatra police station took over the case.
A case of unnatural death has been registered and are waiting for the autopsy report to confirm the exact cause, though everyone at the scene says it was a pure accident caused by dangerous bike riding. The news shattered Manojit’s family; his parents is in complete shock when they heard their only son died while performing bike stunt. Police should strictly stop such reckless stunts on public roads before more families have to cry over lost children.
