In a distressing incident on Thursday morning, a young man, identified as Sanjoy Pugalia, aged 25, committed suicide by jumping in front of the southbound metro at Rabindra Sadan Station. This incident caused a temporary disruption in metro services until 9:30 am, posing significant inconvenience to commuters. Metro services were resumed at 9:50 am.
The motive behind Sanjoy's drastic decision remains unclear.
