3 children drown in pond inside Dwarka golf course in Delhi, clothes found on bank

Three children aged between eight and ten years died after drowning in a pond located inside a golf course premises in Delhi’s Dwarka area on Thursday morning. The incident was reported from Sector 24, where police and emergency teams rushed to the spot after receiving a PCR call shortly after 7 am.

Upon reaching the location, police personnel found the children submerged in the pond. With the assistance of fire department teams, the bodies were retrieved from the water. Officials confirmed that all three children had died, and the area was secured for further investigation.

According to initial findings, the children’s clothes were found lying on the bank of the pond, leading investigators to suspect that they may have entered the water to bathe before the drowning occurred. The exact sequence of events, however, is yet to be established as authorities continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Police said that efforts are ongoing to identify the children and trace their families, as no matching missing person complaints had been registered in the area at the time of reporting. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination, and forensic teams have been deployed to collect evidence from the site.

Officials added that a detailed investigation is underway to determine how the children accessed the restricted premises and to establish accountability, if any, in the incident.
