The aircraft involved was a VSR Ventures Learjet 45 with registration VT-DBL, on a flight from Vizag to Mumbai, and it was owned by the infrastructure development company Dilip Buildcon, based in Bhopal
An aircraft crashed at Mumbai airport with eight people on board while attempting to land. Mumbai airport is currently shut for operations and remains under inspection.
The runway excursion took place on Thursday evening as the craft attempted to land on Runway 27 with at 700 m amid heavy rainfall. No casualties have been reported at this time.
As per reports the VSR Ventures Learjet 45 aircraft VT-DBL flight had been travelling from Vizag (Visakhapatnam) to Mumbai and veered off the runway while landing. The plane was owned by Bhopal-based infrastructure development company Dilip Buildcon.
