Guv calls Mamata 'Lady Macbeth of Bengal', says will socially boycott her
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has rolled out significant measures aimed at improving the financial and housing conditions of state employees and the underprivileged. In a recent announcement, she declared a 4% increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) for state government employees, effective immediately. This move is designed to help employees cope with the rising cost of living.
Banerjee also introduced the 'Awas Survey', an initiative to collect data on housing needs. This survey will help the government to better understand and address the housing requirements of the underprivileged, ensuring that housing schemes are effectively targeted and implemented.
