4-yr-old girl lured with chocolates, raped by brother's teen friend

A four-year-old girl was reportedly raped in West Bengal's Murshidabad. She was admitted to the hospital in a blood-soaked condition. According to reports, a 15-year-old teenager, who is a friend of the victim's brother, has been taken into custody for committing the heinous crime.

Police sources said that the girl was lured in by the accused using chocolates and was taken to a deserted area under the jurisdiction of Lalbagh police station. The teenager reportedly raped the girl following which she returned home crying. The incident has caused a stir in the area.

Police further said that since the girl knew the accused, she went along with him. After admitting the victim to the hospital, her family lodged a written complaint at the police station on Thursday.

The victim's mother said, "My daughter returned home in a bloody condition. She was crying. After holding her in my arms, I realized how much harm my son's friend had caused. I demand strict punishment for him."

Lalbagh Additional Superintendent of Police Raspreet Singh said on Friday that a four-year-old girl was sexually assaulted. Her mother complained to the police. The police have registered a case under the POCSO Act and arrested the accused juvenile.
