The narcotics cell of the Detective Department (DD) of the New Market police intercepted a large amount of Ganja consignment on Tuesday. According to the police reports, two people were arrested after as much as 40 kg of Ganja (cannabis) was found in their possession. Gobindo Roy (30) and Prasenjit Das (39) are the arrested duo. Both are residents of the Nadia district.
They were taken by the police, and further investigation is underway. Police is trying to find out who else is involved in this racket and are also trying to figure out the source and, more importantly, the destination of this illegal substance.
