Calcutta HC extends bail for ‘Kalighat-er Kaku,’ restricts security deployment at his home
Renowned Bollywood filmmaker Anurag Kashyap stirred controversy on Saturday (March 23) by announcing that he will no longer entertain 'random' meetings for free, stating his rates for those seeking his time. Kashyap expressed frustration, stating that he's 'tired' of wasting time on what he termed 'mediocre' individuals, and henceforth will charge for his consultations, ranging from ₹1 lakh for 10-15 minutes to ₹5 lakh for a full hour.
In a social media post on his official Instagram account, the director of 'Gangs of Wasseypur' delineated his rates, emphasizing, "I am not a charity and I am tired of people looking for shortcuts." He further declared, "If you really think you can afford it, call me or stay the fu*k away. And all paid in advance." Known for his candid demeanor, Kashyap's decision garnered mixed reactions, with his daughter Aaliyah Kashyap humorously remarking, "Forwarding this to everyone in my dms and email who keep sending me scripts to forward to you."
