Businessman was arrested with brown sugar in Nalanda district. Identified as Bittu Kumar, a 19-year-old resident of Kakhadiya village, he has a history of involvement in drug sales, having been jailed thrice before. The arrest comes amid growing concerns over the flourishing brown sugar trade, which has led to the deaths of several youths in the region due to addiction.
Acting on secret information, the Sohsarai police station apprehended Bittu Kumar from Kakharia Sohdih Khandha, where he was reportedly involved in buying and selling brown sugar. Despite police raids in various areas, the brown sugar business continues to thrive, posing a serious threat to the younger generation.
