No tax on water: Firhad Hakim refutes taxation rumors

  • Mayor Hakim firmly rejects speculation regarding water tax in Kolkata
  • Asserts no such tax has been imposed in the past nor will it be implemented in the future
  • This comes as a clarification after there were rumours regarding potential taxation

In a recent statement, Mayor Firhad Hakim has unequivocally dismissed all rumors surrounding the imposition of a tax on water in Kolkata. "No tax will be levied on water in Kolkata, never has been, will not be levied in future also," asserted Mayor Hakim, addressing concerns and dispelling speculations.

The declaration comes as a reassurance to residents amidst circulating rumors regarding potential taxation on essential utilities.
