A Pune man was left dumbfounded when he received an astonishing bill of ₹3.62 crore for an Uber auto ride, sparking outrage and disbelief. Expressing his shock, he tweeted, "How come a bill of ₹3 cr plus for an auto ride? It was not a chartered airplane for God’s sake!" He added, "It was embarrassing because the driver thought it would be billed to him if I didn’t pay. He argued for 15 minutes in the sun!"
In a similar incident in Noida, another Uber user faced a staggering bill after what initially appeared to be a routine auto ride. Expecting a fare of just ₹62, the user was shocked to discover a bill of ₹7.66 crore upon reaching the destination. These incidents raise concerns about the accuracy of Uber's fare calculation system and the potential inconvenience faced by users due to such exorbitant bills.
