Security measures for Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Trinamool General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee are set to be significantly heightened, effective immediately. In response to mounting concerns over a potential assassination plot, the decision has been made to double security provisions at various meeting venues during campaigning activities.
Furthermore, a stringent protocol has been put in place mandating that the list of individuals slated to appear on stage with Mamata and Abhishek Banerjee must be submitted to police headquarters a day in advance. All commissioners and district Superintendents of Police (SPs) have been placed on high alert and instructed to be present near assembly stages during public events.
