Tragedy struck in the North Dum Dum area of Kolkata as Keya Sharma Chowdhury lost her life when a portion of an under-construction building collapsed on her. The incident occurred amidst heightened concerns over illegal constructions in the wake of a recent building collapse in Garden Reach, which claimed the lives of at least 12 individuals. Keya Sharma Chowdhury's husband, Sudip Sharma Chowdhury, lodged a complaint against the building's promoter, alleging unauthorized construction.
Keya Sharma Chowdhury was pronounced dead upon arrival at a nearby hospital, prompting her husband to file a complaint with the police against the promoter and associates involved in the construction. Local authorities expressing regret over the tragic loss of life.
