YouTuber Manish Kashyap, known for his channel 'Manish Kashyap Son of Bihar' with 8.75 million subscribers, made headlines again as he joined the BJP, following his arrest last year for circulating fake videos portraying attacks on Bihari migrants in Tamil Nadu. Kashyap, speaking after joining the party in the presence of BJP's Delhi MP Manoj Tiwari, revealed that his mother urged him to align with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's party. He expressed gratitude towards the BJP for his release from jail and emphasized his commitment to fighting against those who defame Sanatan.

The controversial YouTuber's move to join the BJP comes after months of legal turmoil. Kashyap was arrested in Bihar and later sent to Tamil Nadu, where he spent months in jail before being brought back to Bihar. His release in December 2023 marked the end of a prolonged legal battle stemming from the dissemination of fake videos amid tensions between Bihar and Tamil Nadu.
