Enraged by the incident, locals blocked the NH, demanding justice. The driver of the vehicle absconded after the accident, prompting police intervention to pacify the angry crowd and clear the roadblock.
According to reports, Sanaul, who was engaged in the fishing business, was on his way to Labha to buy fish when the accident happened. The speeding vehicle, identified as a Hiva, struck him near Kuchiahi village, causing his tragic demise. Following the incident, the driver fled the scene, leaving the vehicle abandoned on the road. Police officials, including Pranpur police station incharge Ranjit Mahato and others, swiftly responded to the situation, seizing the vehicle and sending the victim's body for post-mortem. The grieving family members, overwhelmed by the loss, were consoled by authorities as investigations into the incident continue.
