Disruption in metro services between Dumdum and Dakshineswar; normal services resume after 2 hours
As the nation awaits the Pran Pratishtha and the inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on January 22, 2024, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Delhi has made a significant decision to organize a grand procession of Ram Lalla across the capital. AAP leaders shared that the procession will traverse various parts of Delhi, and the party will host Bhandara events across the city.
The decision comes in tandem with the Delhi government's earlier announcement, led by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, declaring a half-day holiday in all government offices on the same day in observance of the historic Ram Temple inauguration program. Delhi LG Vinay Saxena approved the holiday proposal, and the Special Secretary of the Delhi Service Department issued the necessary orders following the LG's consent.
To mark the importance of the Ramlala Pran Pratistha ceremony, the Delhi government, under the leadership of CM Arvind Kejriwal, has initiated a three-day grand Ramlila starting on January 20. The special Ramlila, organized at the Pyarelal Auditorium near ITO, will be free for all, running until January 22 from 4 to 7 pm.
In addition to Delhi, several other state governments, including Assam, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Haryana, and Rajasthan, have announced a half-day holiday for government employees on January 22. Himachal Pradesh, led by the Sukhu government, has taken it a step further by declaring a full-day holiday on the same date.
